Actually, the modulation technique is bog-standard.
It's the combination of larger receive antenna as part of a commercial off-the-shelf package, relatively low price yet still fully engineered in-house, purpose-built, dual polarity without buying a second unit and special mounting system, spectrum-conserving half duplex mode that has latency and packet-per-second capabilities closer to that of a full duplex system, the ability to switch to a full-duplex mode as convenient, field upgradable with a powerful enough FPGA to handle 256QAM and possibly other interesting schemes in the future, it's all that which makes this a good product.
What you're talking about understanding is timing, not modulation. Here's what I thought about the timing scheme. I posted it in the UWC discussion thread in the M series forum:
Meet half way in the middle is probably a lot simpler than it sounds. It must mean that both radios in the PtP config transmit or receive at the same time.
How, you ask?
I bet the radios measure the distance between themselves and use that to determine how long they can transmit for before they have to switch to receive mode and hear the other's transmissions. This way you can use half the spectrum, eliminate the need for a diplexer, and still achieve FDD-like latency and performance characteristics.
That being said, I thought Orthogon PTP radios have done this all along. I'm really not sure what's patentable about it.
Certainly, Ubi is taking it to the "next level" with better designs for less money. Everyone else is basically copying the same crappy 10+ year old 256QAM radio, diplexer, switch, controller design which results in roughly three times the cost (and it used to be a LOT higher than that) and half the speed (no dual polarity unless you buy two radios per side, nor HDD techniques to conserve spectrum)

Mě spíš vadí tohle:
Ve vyšších sférách se objedeme i bez toho. Tady? Vše bude muset být UBNT, aby to nějak rozumně fungovalo. A to vůbec nemyslím na to, že jim to v 5GHz zrovna moc nefunguje.

Hlavně problém nastane, pokud dá člověk více těchto krámů za sebe - to se z toho pak ta GPS synchronizace po... A co když bude mít konkurence to samé?
To se mám synchronizovat i s nima?

I just asked Ben via email and he said end of april I am trying to get if its this april or next april because its being shipped out the same time as the titanium rocket and sector. For as the pricing ago I am trying to ask Ben right now via email about that 2.
Ben also told me that the titanium rocket m5 will work with the dishes and sectors.
Just a update he just emailed me back and the titanium m5 rocket and bullet m5 will be released this april at the end of the month and no pricing is available as of right now.

Jinak jak psali amíci snad to zkorigují protože o 10dB horší citlivost a stejný procesor neznějí moc hezky.
