Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL) the consumer is protected regardless of whether the NAS is under warranty, Synology is legally obliged to either repair or replace the affected NAS systems and it is time they commenced a program of repair/replacement as per the Netgear announcement. The repair/replacement will not be at Synology's cost Intel have already advised the finance world they have put aside a considerable sum to compensate the OEMs who purchased the ATOM C2000 devices. It will not be long before the complaints roll into our Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC)
